UNSOED Establishes Strategic Cooperation with UniSZA Malaysia
Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) established cooperation with Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) Malaysia. The cooperation is contained in the MoU signed by the Rector of Unsoed and the Rector of UniSZA, located at Wahid Hasyim University, Monday (11/20). In addition, the signing of the MoU was also carried out by a number of Private Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIS) under Kopertis X Central Java, with UNisZA.
The Rector of Unsoed, Prof. Dr. Ir AKhmad Sodiq M.Sc., Agr., IPU said this Memorandum of Understanding not only signifies a commitment to collaborate, but also a commitment to improve education and development standards that are in line with common aspirations and goals.
Unsoed strives to achieve its vision to become a globally recognized center for rural resource development and local wisdom by 2034, dedicated to forging partnerships that are aligned with key missions. "This includes providing high-quality education to produce graduates with high character and competence, pioneering research and innovation, enhancing community development and technology transfer, and fostering strong partnerships for institutional growth and community progress," said the rector.
Furthermore, the rector said, the signing of this MoU, is not just limited to signing an agreement. We are also making history in collaborative efforts to improve the quality of education and community development. This partnership is a testament to our dedication to achieving the status of a world-class university, a beacon of knowledge, innovation and empowerment of rural communities in the era of globalization.
"Together, we will move towards a brighter, more inclusive and sustainable future. I really appreciate the event organized by Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UNisZA) and Wahid Hasyim University Semarang. We hope that the MoU between UNisZA and Unsoed as well as other Islamic private universities under the auspices of Kopertis X Central Java can bring joint collaboration in the fields of education, research, and community service in order to find solutions and take real action in solving problems in this era of globalization, " the rector hoped.
The signing of the MoU was witnessed by Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Dr. Wahyuningrat, and the Vice Dean for Student Affairs & Alumni of FISIP Dr. Tyas Retno Wulan, as well as representatives from the International Relations Office (IRO) Unsoed, Ulil Afwa S.H., M.H. The Dean said, this MoU confirmed the series of collaborations that had been carried out between FISIP Unsoed and UniSZA, including student mobility which had been carried out twice, lecturer exchanges, and currently there are 5 FISIP Unsoed students majoring in International Relations who are currently participating in the Student Exchange program at UniSZA.
