46 Students Received Japanese Internship Certificates
[unsoed.ac.id, Thurs, 15/06/23] A total of 46 students received Japanese internship certificates, on Thursday (15/6). They got a certificate after carrying out an internship in Japan in the period 2022 to 2023, for 8 to 12 months. The certificate was handed over by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Noor Farid, M.Sc., accompanied by the Head of International Relation Office, chairman of LP3M, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries & Marine Sciences.
The Students came from the Faculty of Agriculture with a total of 22 students, consisted of students from Agribusiness study programs (4 students), Agrotechnology (13 students), and Agricultural Engineering (5 students). The internship locations were at Nashinoki Farm, Yui Yuki Farm, Yui Yonemitsu Farm, Yui Masaomi Farm, Furuhara Green Farm, Ide Kimio Farm, Nashinoki Farm, and Yogo Farm.
From the Faculty of Fisheries & Marine Sciences Unsoed there were a total of 22 students, from Aquaculture study programs (9 students), Marine Sciences (8 students), and Aquatic Resource Management (5 students). The internship locations were at Iriyama Gyogyo Co., Ltd., Abe Sakae Gyogyo-bu, Uchiumi Gyogyo-bu, Daisan Matsui Gyogyo-bu, Shinei Gyogyo Co., Ltd., Abe Shigenori Gyogyo-bu, Yamagen Suisan Co., Ltd., Koyama Gyogyo-bu, Kanemi Shibuta Suisan Co., Ltd., Abe Hideyuki Gyogyo-bu, Abe Shigenori Gyogyo-bu, and Maruya Suisan Ltd. There were also two students from the Unsoed Faculty of Animal Husbandry study program, who carried out an internship at Abe Farm.
On this occasion there was also a presentation from student representatives of internship program in Japan, delivered by Wahyu Satriarman Ibrahim (The student of the Faculty of Fisheries & Marine Sciences). Wahyu shared about his experience participating in the Japan Internship Program 2022 Batch 3, Hotate Clams Cultivation. According to him, some of the benefits are getting language certificates and international internships, having international internship experience, having work skills, doing final project research, getting appreciation money, and working relations after graduating from college.
Wahyu further explained that the Hotate cultivation work program includes harvesting hotate shells, Mimitsuri (ear hanging cultivation method), washing Kago fishing gear (Kago Arau), repairing Kago fishing gear (Kago Naoshimasu), repairing ropes (Roopu Naoshimasu), washing shells, and hanging buoys (Tama Tsukemasu).
At the event, the Head of the Academic & Student Affairs Bureau, the Coordinators of Study Programs, the management team for overseas student internships, and prospective students who will participate for internships in Japan also attended.
