FEB UNSOED Held an International Seminar
[unsoed.ac.id, Wed, 27/10/21] With the theme "Scaling up SME resilience in dealing with triple disruption", The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Unsoed held an International Seminar on Tuesday (26/10). The event was held in collaboration with Bank Indonesia Representative Purwokerto.
This activity is an annual activity that has been routinely carried out for the last 11 years (since 2010) with keynote speakers who have expertise in accordance with the seminar topics in each year. This year the seminar is still conducted online via Zoom meeting and YouTube streaming.
It was recorded that the number of participants who registered for this seminar reached 1000 participants consisting of business actors, especially MSMEs, district governments, academics (lecturers and students), national and international researchers, and observers and MSME stakeholders. They were not only from Purwokerto, but many also came from outside the city and there were even participants from abroad.
The event was opened by the Vice Rector for General & Finance Prof. Dr. Hibnu Nugroho SH., M. Hum. In his remarks, he said that during the COVID-19 pandemic, all sectors and economic institutions, including Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), were also impacted. MSMEs are faced with various difficulties and challenges during the pandemic outbreak. Due to their innovative nature, MSMEs can recover strongly and quickly from the COVID-19 pandemic. Innovative strategies, such as the use of digital technology can also help SMEs to survive and cope with the consequences of the pandemic on budget issues, business transactions, and cash flow. Universitas Jenderal Soedirman is very intense in supporting the scientific community to provide solutions, including in the economic field and related aspects towards a smart society 5.0.
The keynote speakers are Kemenparekraf Dr. Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, BBA, MBA, along with M. Riza Damanik, Ph.D (Special Staff of the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs), Prof. Pan Wei Hwa from the University of Science and Technology Taiwan, Prof. Tomomi Tamaki from Teikyo University Japan, Dr. Judit Katonane Kovac from University Of Debrecen Hungary and Abdul Kholik, SH, M.Si (Vice Chairman of DPD Commission I RI).
Each speaker presented and discussed all material related to strategies in strengthening and increasing the resilience of MSMEs to face digital disruption, millennials, and the Covid 19 pandemic that occurred simultaneously.
The seminar continued with the presentation of research results in the form of call for paper and colloquium which was attended by participants from researchers, academics, and practitioners from various institutions.
