KSR PMI UNSOED Won 1st Place in The Disaster Essay Contest

[unsoed.ac.id, Mon, 01/08/22] Another proud achievement was achieved by the delegation of the Student Activity Unit of the Indonesian Red Cross Volunteer Corps (KSR PMI) Unsoed. This time the KSR PMI Unsoed Naufal Azhar Fa'iq delegation (Department of International Relations Class of 2019) who is also the Commander of KSR PMI Unsoed won 1st Place in the Disaster Essay Contest for Disaster Emergency Response Management of KSR PMI for Higher Education Units throughout Indonesia. This national event was organized by KSR PMI UNIT Universitas Negeri Jakarta on 20 – 27 July 2022.

Naufal Azhar Fa'iq said the preparations made for the competition are determining and contacting the competition mentor. The competition mentor is from PMI Banyumas Regency and is a Member of KSR PMI Unsoed Unit. “After that, to have a discussion with the mentor related to the discussion of the competition to determine the topic that will be raised in the essay. Then, finalize the concepts and topics that will be discussed in the essay before starting the essay writing,” he explained.

He added that this essay competition was included in a series of Disaster Emergency Response Management Training activities for Indonesian Higher Education Unit KSR PMI held by UNJ's KSR PMI Unit. This competition is held in 2 stages. The first stage is the collection of essay manuscripts and followed by the interview stage. After that, the judging is done and the winners are announced.

“I am very grateful to all those who have helped both in the preparation and writing of this essay. Hopefully this championship title can be a motivation for members of KSR PMI Unsoed Unit to always play an active role in various activities and competitions as a means to add experience and lessons and make Universitas Jenderal Soedirman proud at the national level,” he concluded.
