Minister Nadiem Inaugurates Prof. Sodiq Becomes Chancellor of UNSOED 2022-2026
[unsoed.ac.id, Wed, 18/05/22] Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim, BA, MBA inaugurates Prof. Dr. Ir Akhmad Sodiq M.Sc.Agr as Chancellor of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (UNSOED) for the period of 2022 – 2026. The inauguration took place at the Auditorium of the Kemenristekdikti Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (18/5).
On this occasion the inaugurated officials are the Chancellor of the University of Jenderal Sudirman (UNSOED), and the Chancellor of the University of Siliwangi (UNSIL), the Expert Staff of the Minister for Institutional and Community Relations, and three Widya Prada Functional Officials the Main Expert of the Education and Technology Nadiem Anwar Makarim, BA, MBA in his speech said that the key to success in implementing the Merdeka Learning policy from 2020 until today is the fruit of the collaboration of all parties in encouraging the progress of Indonesian education. Especially in the midst of efforts to emerge from the pandemic, collaboration is the main key to recovering learning from the impact of learning loss. "In this regard, the official inauguration ceremony that we held today is part of the Ministry of Education and Culture's efforts to further accelerate cross-sectoral cooperation and expand the Free Learning Movement to all corners of Indonesia," said the Minister of Education and Technology.
To the Chancellor, the Minister of Education and Technology gave a message and entrusted the hope of Merdeka Learning, Merdeka Campus. "Create a conducive learning climate, safe from all forms of violence, and free students to develop their potential. Give our students the right to study outside campus so that when they graduate they are ready to face all kinds of challenges," said Minister Nadiem.
On that occasion, the Minister of Education and Technology also expressed his deepest gratitude to Prof. Dr. Ir Suwarto MS (Rector of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman for the period 2018-2022), and Prof. Dr. H Rudi Priyadi, IR.,MS (Rector of the University of Siliwangi for the period 2018-2022) for their seriousness and their commitment in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as a university leader. "I hope that they will continue to contribute to the progress of the world of Indonesian education," he continued.
Ending his remarks, the Minister of Education and Technology congratulated the officials who were appointed today, while inviting them to continue to strengthen collaboration within the Ministry of Education and Culture, collaborate with various parties and stakeholders to establish joint steps in realizing the ideals of independent learning.
