15 Participants in Basic Education XXXVIII Longmarch Purwokerto – Cilacap

[unsoed.ac.id, Mon, 17/01/22] Environmental Scout Unit for Nature Lover Students (UPL MPA) Unsoed held its 38th Basic Education. The activity takes place from January 17-23, 2022. The theme was "Educated Not for Retirement". Basic Education (Diksar) is a routine program and a mandatory stage for participants in the Environmental Scout Unit for Nature Lover Students (UPL MPA) at Universitas Jenderal Soedirman to become Young Members of the scout.

A total of 15 participants took part in this Diksar. Diksar is filled with Longmarch from Purwokerto to Cilacap, Central Java. In addition, there are also activities in the form of Forest Mountains, Conservation, Rafting, Cave Crossing, Diving, Rock Climbing, and Sea Swamps.

The supervisor of UPL MPA Unsoed Prof.Dr. Hibnu Nugroho SH.,M.Hum (Vice Chancellor for General & Finance) in his speech said that education is basically a form of change. The curriculum has changed but has not lost its spirit, namely the UPL MPA code of ethics and the code of ethics for nature lovers. “The Code of Ethics is a very noble value, especially in the current era. UPL MPA as the front line, at least reorganize the damage to nature, & maintain balance, "said Prof. Hibnu.

It was further stated that through basic education, it can increase capabilities (in organizations, control emotions, protect & care for the environment, etc.), & always optimize physical fitness.

At the opening of this Basic Education, a scarf was symbolically fastened by Prof. Dr. Hibnu Nugroho SH., M. Hum who is also the supervisor of UPL MPA Unsoed. The fastening of scarves for two representatives of the 38th Basic Education participants officially marks the 38th Elementary Education of UPL MPA Unsoed.
