Students of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry of Unsoed Received Scholarships from PT. Charoen Pokphand
[unsoed.ac.id, Mon, 04/01/21] PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia (CPI) gave scholarships to 20 students of the S1 Animal Husbandry Program, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Thursday (17/12) in Seminar Room II, Faculty of Agriculture, Unsoed. The scholarship was handed over by the the Area Manager, Endang S.Pt, who was accompanied by General Area Personnel: Imam, Sugiyanto, and Dian. The scholarship award ceremony was attended by the Dean and Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unsoed.
The scholarship is a program of PT. CPI which is currently working with several universities throughout Indonesia, one of which is the Faculty of Animal Science, Unsoed. This scholarship is given to twenty students within 1 year period. The students can apply for the scholarship again as long as they are still studying at Unsoed.
In her speech, Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Prof. Dr. Ismoyowati, S.Pt., M.P expressed her gratitude to PT. Charoen Pokhpand for the scholarship given to Faculty of Animal Science Unsoed students. The Dean hopes that the scholarship can facilitate college activities. CPI has a scholarship and CBSA Program.
To get a CPI scholarship, students must pass several requirements. They must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.00, at least in semester III, and should be active in campus organizations. This time, PT. Pokphand provides Rp. 60,000,000 (sixty million rupiah) for twenty students.
The Area manager, Endang, S.Pt, said that this scholarship program is to help the government in the field of education. The scholarship given to each student is Rp. 3,000,000. "The Charoen Pokphand Undergraduate Scholarship that is given is not only in the form of funding, but we also provide intensive assistance and coaching for students in terms of leadership, social activity, and career planning," he said.
Education is a right for everyone. Therefore, even during the Covid-19 Pandemic, there was no reason for children not going to school or dropping out of school. “We hope that this scholarship can make children achieve even more,” he added.
