UNSOED and UNIBA Synergize in Tridharma of Higher Education

[unsoed.ac.id, Wed, 24/01/24] Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) keeps expanding its cooperation network. Recently, Unsoed collaborated with Universitas Balikpapan (Uniba). The cooperation is inscribed in a Memorandum of Understanding / MoU signed by Rector of Unsoed, Prof.Dr.Ir. Akhmad Sodiq M.Sc., Agr., IPU, ASEAN Eng., and Rector of Uniba, Dr. Ir. Isradi Zainal, M.T., M.H., M.M., DESS., M.K.K.K., IPU.

The MoU on Education, Research, and Community Service as well as Improving the Quality of Human Resources including implementation of Education, Research, and Community Service, improvement the quality of Human Resources, implementation Independent Learning Independent Campus Program, and other agreed fields.

The Rector of Unsoed, Prof.Dr.Ir. Akhmad Sodiq M.Sc., Agr., IPU, ASEAN Eng, welcomed and thanked to the Rector of Uniba and his staff. The Rector said that in 2023, Unsoed was 60 years old and has 85 study programs. In 2024, there are an additional 7 study programs, 26.800 students, and 75 professors.

"Regarding to this cooperation, we hope that it is in accordance with the university establishment, namely preparing intact and superior human resources, developing science and technology, increasing the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER)," said the Rector.

The Rector of Uniba, Dr. Ir. Isradi Zainal, M.T., M.H., M.M., DESS., M.K.K.K., IPU., expressed his gratitude and highest appreciation to the Rector, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Unsoed for very communicative.

Dr. Isradi said that one of the problems is the lack of human resources in biomedical. "We observe that Unsoed has biomedical sciences, and hopefully, Unsoed can contribute to the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in Uniba," he said.
