Unsoed Students Won Gold Medal in IYMIA 2024 Event
[unsoed.ac.id, Sel, 16/01/24] Gold Medal was gained by Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) students at the international level. This time, the gold medal was from the International Young Moslem Invention Award (IYMIA) 2024. In this event, the team consisting of Khairunnisa (English Education 2021), Hidayat Nur Wahid (Indonesian Language Education 2020), Muhammad Farrel Ryandra Ardaffa (Agribusiness 2023), Mahila Asana (Agribusiness 2021), and Zia Rahmawati (Physics 2022) won Gold Medal in the Social Science category.
Khairunnisa said that in this event, the team proposed the concept of Pentahelix Model Application through Lengger Dance as a Media to introduce Mina Padi, with the title "Application of the Pentahelix Model using Lengger Dance as a Media for Developing Agricultural Potential Based on Local Wisdom of Minapadi Banyumas Culture".
The IYMIA competition is a competition in the field of applied science, organized by the Indonesian Young Scientist Association (IYSA). The categories include Social Science, Life Science, Engineering, Enviromental Science, and Innovation Science. Unsoed delegates chose the Social Science category. The competition was joined by 341 teams from 14 countries (Indonesia, Romania, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Uzbekistan, India, South Africa, and Singapore).
This achievement was gained as proof that Unsoed students are able to compete with international students so that they can motivate other students to dare to excel in the international arena.
This online competition was judged on January 11, 2024 at the Zoom Meeting. While the announcement of the results (Awarding) was held on January 13, 2024.
