[unsoed.ac.id, Thu, 23/02/23] Located at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) Kuala Lumpur, Monday (20/2), a cooperation discussion was held between Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) and KBRI. The Unsoed Foreign Cooperation Team consisting of Agus Haryanto (Unsoed's International Relation Officer, and Head of the International Relations Department), Ahmad Sabiq (Lecturer in Political Science Department), Tunjung Linggarwati (Lecturer in International Relations Department), and Siti Kunarti (Head of State Administration Law Section) were received directly by the Indonesian Ambassador to Malaysia, Hermono, who was accompanied by Rossy Verona (Deputy Chief of Mission) and Muhammad Firdaus (Education and Culture Attaché).

The Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) welcomes the education and community service program launched by Unsoed in the form of International Community Service Program (KKN) aimed at empowering Indonesian citizens in Malaysia, through improving the quality of education of the children of migrant workers. "Education is a right for every child. None of the nation's children should be left behind," the ambassador, Hermono, emphasized when he welcomed Unsoed team, and at the same time bid farewell to students from Muhammadiyah Universities who would return to their homeland after the completion of the Community Service Program in Malaysia.

On this occasion, in addition to detail the technical cooperation that had previously been discussed through the Zoom Meeting, the Unsoed team also held the National Inspiration Class. The program, which Unsoed had started for students of Sekolah Indonesia Kota Kinabalu (SIKK) Sabah a month ago by sending Ahmad Sabiq as a facilitator of first-time voter education, was continued in the Peninsula for students of Sekolah Indonesia Kuala Lumpur (SIKL).

For half a day, SIKL students participated in learning with facilitators from Unsoed lecturers. Siti Kunarti and Tunjung Linggarwati became facilitators for material on national vision, diversity and tolerance, while Ahmad Sabiq became a facilitator of election and democracy material and Agus Haryanto as a facilitator who introduced students to the world of higher education.

The students seemed enthusiastic in joining the program. They have a better understanding of the role they can play as citizens and are better prepared to enter a higher level of education to achieve their future.
