UNSOED Delegation Won Gold Medal at WYIE 2023 Event
[unsoed.ac.id, Mon, 22/05/23] Another outstanding achievement was presented by students of Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) at the international level. This time the achievement was gained at the World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) 2023. At that event, the team consisted of Bagja Hanifan Hilmana (Electrical Engineering 2021), Eka Nur Cahyaningrum (Public Health 2019), Aulia Maretina Istiqomah (Chemistry 2019), Rini Dwi Puspitasari (Pharmacy 2019), and Aditya Saputra (Electrical Engineering 2021) under the guidance of Azis Wisnu Widhi Nugraha, S.T., M.Eng. won the Gold Medal by carrying out a work with the IoT concept in the Agriculture category.
Bagja said that the WYIE competition coincided with the Asian Young Inventors Exhibition (AYIE) and the Malaysian Young Inventors Exhibition (MYIE) which were part of the International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX) 2023. "WYIE was a competition in the field of applied science, this time organized by the Asian Caucus of Invention Associations. Followed by 144 teams from various countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and many more," he explained.
The competition, which took place offline, began with the selection of paper documents on March 25, 2023, then continued with the exhibition and judging on May 11-12, 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center. While the announcement of the results (awarding) took place on May 13th, 2023.
This achievement was obtained as a proof that Unsoed students are able to compete with international students. It is hoped that they can motivate other Unsoed students to dare to excel at the international level.
