FIBAA International Accreditation at Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Faculty of Law (FH) UNSOED

[unsoed.ac.id, Tue, 13/06/23] Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Faculty of Law (FH) Unsoed received International Accreditation Visitation. The accreditation was organized by FIBAA (Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation) and it lasted for two days (June 13-14, 2023). The FIBAA assessors consisted of Prof. Dr. Thomas Hermawan, Prof. Dr. Gabriel Lentner, Prof. Dr. Selden Peter Schroeder, Prof. Dr. Sukirno DS., Dipl.- Jurist LL.M (UK) Niko Harig, Florentyna Deborah Born, and Cristiane Butler.

The assessors were greeted by the Rector of Unsoed Prof.Dr.Ir Akhmad Sodiq M.Sc., Agr., IPU, as well as by the Vice Rectors, and the Deans and their staff, Heads of Institutions, and other leaders at the Unsoed Rectorate Building.

In his speech, the Rector said that the university supports all study programs to be internationally accredited. There are several main reasons why we should get international accreditation. It is said that international accreditation provides quality assurance and standards; accreditation from reputable international bodies increases the global recognition and reputation of an educational institution. In addition, accreditation can have a positive impact on employment opportunities for graduates; and the accreditation process often involves ongoing evaluation and assessment of the institution's programs, faculty, and infrastructure.

Currently, Unsoed has the guests from FIBAA as part of the field assessment for the accreditation of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and Faculty of Law (FH). "Hopefully this accreditation process will contribute to the improvement of universities, students, graduates’ competencies, and of course the government's efforts to develop the country," hoped the Rector.

On this occasion, the profile of university and study programs were also presented. After that, the agenda was followed with a discussion and visitation to FEB Unsoed.
