LPPM Holds National Seminar on Building a Research & Service Ecosystem
[unsoed.ac.id, Tue, 04/10/22] With the theme “Building a Synergic Research & Service Ecosystem between Universities and Stakeholders to Realize a Green Economy in Post-Pandemic Recovery”, Unsoed Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) held a National Seminar on Sustainable Development of Rural Resources and Local Wisdom XII. The national seminar lasted for two days (4-5 October 2022) live via zoom meeting and Youtube. This national seminar is an annual seminar organized by LPPM Unsoed, and this year is entering its 12th year.
The chairman of the committee, Dr. Nur Aini S.TP., MP, in her speech said that universities as centers of research and community service are expected to disseminate and socialize the results of research and service to the wider community. "This activity is to bridge us to disseminate superior products produced by universities with stakeholders (user communities, investors both at regional and national levels), to develop local resources, local wisdom resources," she said.
It was further reported that a total of 787 papers were submitted, consisting of 555 research articles, and 232 community service papers. “Not only from Unsoed but from outside Unsoed participated including from BRIN, Institut Telkom Purwokerto, UNU Purwokerto, Universitas Pasir Pengaraian Riau, Universitas PGRI Palembang, Institut Teknologi Bandung, and Universitas Padjadjaran.”
The event was opened by the rector of Unsoed, Prof.Dr.Ir Akhmad Sodiq, M.Sc.,Agr. In his opening remarks, the Rector said that today and in the future, are the days when globalization and disruption are part of everyday life. Our pendulum is moving in change on a very large scale, dynamics of uncertainty, complex and sometimes even ambiguous situations. "In that context, research can be a 'weapon' to enter the battlefield. Research involving policy makers and stakeholders. Research involving fellow academics, business circles, the community as beneficiaries and the government as the regulator. Research that doesn't just stop at thoughts and ideas, but is designed to have positive and constructive economic value for all parties," said the Rector.
The Rector hopes that this forum can become a discussion space for fellow academics, observers, reviewers and of course stakeholders related to post-pandemic Green Economy issues. "Through the spirit of synergy and collaboration, an ecosystem will be formed that stimulates research and service that provides greater benefits than just research that runs alone," he said.
Present as a speaker, Prof. Wahyu Tri Cahyanto, P.h.D (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Unsoed) delivered his presentation on "Elaboration of Computational Materials in Optimizing Green Energy Research as a Strategy for Strengthening Higher Education Identity", Ari Asnani, Ph.D (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Unsoed) presented " Strategy for Utilizing Research Results for Community Service to Improve Welfare Post-Pandemic".
Astera Primanto Bhakti, M.Tax (Director General of Fiscal Balance, Ministry of Finance RI) conveyed "The Government's Economic Sector Strategy in Creating a Green Economy in the Post-Pandemic Recovery Period", Astin Atsna Khusniwati SP.,MP (PT. Kiara Natural Indonesia) presented "Strategic Role Industry Against MSMEs in the Success of the Merdeka Campus Program Post Pandemic".
Nawawi, Ph.D (Head of the BRIN Population Research Center) presented "Indonesian Demographic and Employment Bonus: Challenges & Future Strategies", and Dr. Tedy Dirhamsyah, SP., MAB (Head of Bali Research on Industrial Plants and Refreshment BALITTRI) explained about " Strategy & Role of Government in Improving Economic Growth in the Post-Pandemic Recovery Period".
