FK UNSOED Held a Clinical Department Integration Training

[unsoed.ac.id, Mon, 27/12/21] Located in the Dean Hall of the Unsoed Medical Faculty, the Clinical Department Integration Training activity took place on Friday (17/12) . This training was attended by all clinical educators from the Main Education Hospital (RSPU), Network Hospital and partner health centers with a total of 125 clinical educators. The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. dr. MM Rudi Prihatno, M.Kes, M.Si Med, SP.An-KNA. In his speech, the Dean conveyed the importance of the Clinical Department Integration Training activities.

The first speaker was the Vice Dean for Student Affairs Dr dr . Dody Novrial, M.Si.Med, Sp.PA regarding AHS (Academic Health System). He gave an overview of what AHS is and what efforts can be made to get to AHS. In his presentation, he said that the aim of AHS was to achieve the highest degree of public health, competitiveness and independence of the nation through public access to health efforts (public & individual) and health higher education that was successful and efficient, of high quality, based on scientific & fair evidence. It is hoped that the Unsoed Medical Faculty and teaching hospital can become the center of AHS.

The next speaker is dr. Supriyanto, Sp.A from the Department of Child Health Sciences (IKA) conveyed that the sharing of learning activities in the IKA Department has been integrated between education at the RSPU and at the Network Hospital. He conveyed the problems that arose at the beginning of the pandemic where the number of koass in RSPU was limited, so that the role of the Network Hospital was needed, because of these problems, an integrated education system emerged in the Children's Department.

The last material was from dr. Miko Ferine as the Head of the Unsoed Medical Faculty Education Unit regarding the Professional Stage Medical Education Curriculum and its Implementation in Practice. He said that the curriculum needed to be updated in accordance with the development of science and technology and GPA trends. The curriculum is structured in a cluster system, after students complete all clusters, students take part in integrated clinical practice clerkships in hospitals and elective activities.

The event was followed by a discussion of each department/section. The discussion was about the integrated education system in each section which would later be implemented. Ending the event, dr. Ismiralda Oke Putranti, Sp.KK as the chairman of the committee who led the plenary discussion, concluded that: 1. There is a need for integration of clinical departments between the main education hospital and network hospitals to realize an academic health system. 2. It is necessary to have a common perception both in the process of implementing education, guidance and evaluation in each clinical department in order to maintain the quality of young doctor's competency achievements. 3 Implementation of education and evaluation monitoring using the Si-Koas integrated information system.
