UNSOED Delegation Wins Gold Medal at the 2023 World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE)

[unsoed.ac.id, Sel, 23/05/23] Another proud achievement was presented by students of Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) at the international level. This time at the World Young Inventors Exhibition (WYIE) 2023. At the event the team consisted of Bagja Hanifan Hilmana (Electrical Engineering 2021), Eka Nur Cahyaningrum (Public Health 2019), Aulia Maretina Istiqomah (Chemistry 2019), Rini Dwi Puspitasari (Pharmacy 2019), and Aditya Saputra (Electrical Engineering 2021) under the guidance of Mr. Azis Wisnu Widhi Nugraha, S.T., M.Eng. won the Gold Medal by carrying out work with the IoT concept in the Agriculture category.

The WYIE competition coincides with the Asian Young Inventors Exhibition (AYIE) and the Malaysian Young Inventors Exhibition (MYIE) which are members of the 2023 International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition (ITEX). WYIE is a competition in the field of applied science, which this time was organized by the Asian Caucus of Invention Associations. Participated by 144 teams from various countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Thailand, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and many more.

This achievement was obtained as proof that Unsoed students are able to compete with international students so that they can motivate other Unsoed students to dare to excel in the international arena.

The competition, which took place offline, began with paper document selection on 25 March 2023, then continued with an exhibition and judging on 11-12 May 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. While the announcement of the results (Awarding) will be on May 13, 2023.
